Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist is an integral member of the marketing department who manages and collaborates on a wide variety of projects in a challenging and fast-paced environment. This individual should be an articulate, poised communicator who is proactive, self-motivated and enjoys balancing a multitude of day-to-day marketing assignments with long-term, strategic work. The Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will work closely with other members of the team to help the firm achieve its marketing and business goals. This position is based in Cleveland.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field
  • Experience in a professional services environment is preferred – please note this is not an entry level position
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with strong personalities
  • A team player who can step in wherever needed to assist with overall marketing needs
  • Results-oriented with high expectations for quality, accuracy, attention to detail, and overall excellence
  • Well organized and comfortable managing multiple, competing priorities, duties, deadlines and/or projects
  • Experience with event coordination
  • Understanding of how to use social media as a tool to drive traffic, promote thought leadership and build brand awareness  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing team on a variety of firm-wide marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate and/or assist with specific office or practice group marketing initiatives
  • Key role in identifying, developing, planning, coordinating and executing events
  • Oversee firm social media efforts, including serving as point-person for internal social media education and training
  • Coordinate and oversee firm sponsorships, including sponsorship ads
  • Maintain and oversee marketing collateral and firm promotional giveaways
  • Draft and/or edit and proofread copy for a range of marketing materials, such as alerts, proposals, bios, news releases, service sheets, event invitations, ad copy
  • Handle a variety of miscellaneous responsibilities as needs arise
