REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL (CLE)


Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting client communications, contract provisions and other transactional documents, including deeds, mortgages, lien releases, etc. 
  • Conduct legal research on applicable real estate laws 
  • Work with brokers, escrow agents and lenders to expedite buying processes, clear title defects and resolve other legal issues
  • Prepare and review closing documents and settlement statements 
  • Review and analyze title commitments and surveys
  • Drafting documents for many differing corporate actions such as agreements, contracts, corporate records, loan documents, preparing and filing of financial statements 
  • Assisting with compliance reporting and audits 
  • Managing and responding to legal notices 
  • General paralegal duties such as research and correspondence

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • 5+ years real estate / corporate paralegal experience at a law firm or public company
  • Articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills, exceptional independent judgement and relentlessly resourceful 
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize work, and adapt to the rapidly changing needs with a client service focus
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, internet researching, spreadsheets, Elite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Westlaw, simplifile and tvalue
