Last week, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation awarded nine safety intervention grants under The Safety-Intervention Grant Program. The program was created to assist employers by investing with them to take measures that improve workplace practices in an effort to prevent industrial accidents and injuries. Last week’s grants amounted to over $258,000 and were presented to employers for everything from the purchase of lift gates to load systems. The Safety-Intervention Grant Program provides a $3 dollar match from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation for each $1 dollar spent by the employer.
