There have been many who have predicted that Ohio’s shale boom would be nothing more than a “bust”.  In late October, there were articles proclaiming such a demise to the ongoing shale gas development.  In fact, in an earlier Energy Insights blog posting from mwise, he found an article that inferred Ohio’s energy boom was going bust, but nothing could be further from the truth.  Those predictions are proving to be widely off the mark.  With more than $6 billion worth of pipeline and infrastructure coming online in 2013, many analysts are predicting this year to be the beginning, not the end, of the shale boom.  The infrastructure build out, coupled with billions of dollars of continuing investments in land and drilling are creating support for what has widely been viewed as the next great shale frontier.  For more information, click here to read, “Could 2013 be the year of the Utica Shale taking off?” from
