McDonald Hopkins welcomes associate Amanda Rose Martin to Cleveland office

CLEVELAND — McDonald Hopkins LLC today announced Amanda Rose Martin has joined its Cleveland office as an associate in the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group of the firm’s Litigation Department.
 
Martin comes to McDonald Hopkins after spending four years as an associate at McGlinchey Stafford PLLC in Cleveland. In addition to advising clients in data privacy and cybersecurity, she has counseled state and federal banks, automotive and personal property finance companies, fintech companies, and small loan companies on a variety of regulatory matters. She has particular experience with state and federal consumer financial services compliance issues, including licensing requirements consumer credit laws, and consumer protection laws. 
 
Martin has an interest in the application of technology to regulated industries, furthering her experience in the review of innovative business and lending models (including bank partnership lending), apps, fintech platforms, and electronic contracts for compliance with state and federal laws. 
 
Super Lawyers named Martin a 2019 Rising Star in the area of Banking. She was also recently selected as a member of the 2019 inaugural class of FDCC Ladder Down Cleveland, a yearlong leadership, business development and mentoring program for women attorneys. 
 
Martin earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2014. While in law school, she was articles editor of the Cleveland State Law Review and vice chair of the Cleveland-Marshall Moot Court Team. Martin also served as a legal extern to Judge Christopher A. Boyko in the U.S. District Court’s Northern District of Ohio in 2013. In 2011, she completed a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from Case Western Reserve University.
