McDonald Hopkins welcomes Serena Rabie to Chicago Office

McDonald Hopkins LLC has announced the addition of Serena G. Rabie as an associate in the Business Restructuring Department of the firm’s Chicago office.

Rabie adds experience representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including banking and financial, antitrust, commercial and constitutional litigation, in particular with respect to First Amendment actions.

Rabie also has significant appellate experience, having successfully handled state, federal, and administrative appeals.

Rabie earned her J.D. in 2017 from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Race and Law and as a member of the Women Law Students Association. While in law school, she obtained the required certificate to qualify as a court-appointed mediator, mediating numerous cases in Washtenaw County small claims court to successful resolutions in 2016. During the previous year, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Stephen J. Murphy III in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Rabie also completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where she earned a BA in Political Science and American Culture.

Rabie admissions include the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association Inns of Court and the Detroit Bar Association Barristers.
