McDonald Hopkins "Legal Legacy" in May 2019 edition of Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal

News

legal-legacy.jpgMcDonald Hopkins President Shawn Riley penned a brief history of the firm in the May 2019 edition of The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal. The piece, part of the journal's Cleveland Legal Legacy Project, was published as McDonald Hopkins prepares to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2020.

Riley looks back at the firm's founding by Thomas Frasier "Tim" McDonald, who came to Cleveland in 1918 after joining the Navy in World War I. He discusses the shared values of firm namesakes who, like McDonald, shared roots growing up on family farms and being educated in one-room schoolhouse. Riley goes on to explain how the firm values have stayed true as McDonald Hopkins has grown to a firm of more than 140 attorneys based in Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago, Detroit, Miami, and West Palm Beach.
