Stephen J. Rosenfeld, a prominent litigator with more than a quarter-century of experience, has joined the Chicago office of McDonald Hopkins LLC as a member. He comes to McDonald Hopkins after serving as the managing partner of Mandell Menkes in Chicago.

Agay, the managing member of the firm’s Chicago office and a member of the Board of Directors. “Steve brings a mature and sophisticated litigation practice and loyal clients. With his established national client base, we look forward to Steve helping us expand our litigation footprint in Chicago and beyond.”

Rosenfeld has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation involving, among other matters, information technology and intellectual property disputes. His cases in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels have involved everything from commercial contract disputes, to patent litigation, trademark infringement claims, defamation claims, misappropriation of trade secret claims, claims of violations of restrictive covenants, claims involving alleged violations of the federal securities law, and insurance coverage disputes.

Rosenfeld earned his J.D. in 1993 from the University of Illinois, where he graduated cum laude. He completed a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1990. Prior to beginning his law practice, Rosenfeld founded a computer consulting firm concentrating on the development and implementation of custom software designed to manage mid-sized distribution and services companies.
