Desktop Support Specialist (Cleveland)

McDonald Hopkins is seeking a qualified Desktop Support Specialist to join our Cleveland office. This position requires a working knowledge of mobile devices, laptops and desktops; a working knowledge of common desktop applications including Microsoft Office; and a working knowledge of client/server printing.

Minimum Technical Skills:

  • 2-4+ years of experience with providing local/remote desktop support
  • 2-4+ years of experience with Windows 10/11 Desktop Operating Systems
  • 2-4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 2016 and newer, or Microsoft Office 365
  • 2-4+ years of experience with basic administration of the following:
  • Active Directory Domain Services

  • Exchange Server 2016/2019 or Exchange Online

Familiarity with the following is a plus:

  • Windows Server 2016 and newer

  • Azure Active Directory/Entra ID

  • Microsoft Intune

  • LAN/WAN concepts

  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops/DaaS

  • VMware vSphere 7.x/8.x

  • Document Management Systems (iManage)

Education:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a technology related field or equivalent combination of related education and experience

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Attention to detail

  • Self-motivated professional

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Ability to work in a face paced environment

  • Can prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift a minimum of forty pounds
