Compliance for Physician Practices Webinar
Join Rick Hindmand, Member, McDonald Hopkins, February 29 from 2-3:30 PM as he moderates a live webinar on Compliance for Physician Practices.
Effective compliance programs are becoming increasingly important for physician practices of all shapes and sizes in light of obligations to report and return overpayments within 60 days as well as expansion of False Claims Act exposure for non-compliant physician compensation (e.g., $118 mil (Adventist), $85 mil (Halifax)) and of value-based payment models.Health systems that have acquired practices face particular challenges in synthesizing and implementing uniform compliance measures, while independent physician practices vary widely with respect to their compliance efforts and capabilities.
For tips on how to (and how not to) conduct effective compliance programs for physician practices, tune into Part VIII of AHLA's Advanced Compliance Education Webinar Series, Compliance for Physician Practices, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm EST. Our panel will address compliance within a broad range of physician practice settings, offering perspectives from general counsel and compliance officer for an independent physician group practice (Tami Horton of Illinois Bone and Joint Institute), in-house counsel to physician enterprises within a health system (Karl Strauss of Mercy Health) and outside counsel for independent physician groups as well as health systems (Ann Bittinger).
