Government Contracting: New Revenue Opportunities and Common Pitfalls to Avoid
Join us Wednesday, December 14 from noon to 1:00 p.m. EST as we discuss Government Contracting: New Revenue Opportunities and Common Pitfalls to Avoid. Contracting with federal, state and local government can be a great avenue for substantial revenue. Governments also provide unique opportunities and programs for small businesses to gain a competitive advantage. Those programs includes small business set-asides and sole-source work, bid and pricing preferences, goal achievement, mentor protégé programs, bonding programs, and business assistance programs to name of few. To succeed in government contracting it is crucial to understand eligibility criteria to participate in small business programs, regulatory compliance and consequences if the rules are not followed. This program will provide an overview of state of Ohio, local municipal and federal small business contracting programs; a discussion of certification criteria, teaming, joint venture and the new federal mentor protégé program for all small businesses; and an examination of common issues businesses face in regulatory and compliance.
Lunch and registration will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon EST.
The Cleveland program and webcast will be from noon to 1 p.m.
