In this IP Plus webinar, McDonald Hopkins IP & Corporate Startup attorneys Jim Muraff and Jordan Koss will lead a roundtable discussion with two company founders on the role innovation played as they launched their companies and how it is the driving force in everything they do.
Jessie Essman, VP of Operations at Forager and Andy Bokor, current board member and advisor to several companies, will share their insight about their startup experiences and the companies they have helped create and build.
Jessie is the VP of Operations and Co-Founder of Forager, a technology focused solution provider in the cross-border logistics industry. With nearly a decade of experience in the logistics industry as a project manager and business transformation specialist, Jessie brings not only an expertise in cross-border freight, but also a drive for constant improvement and efficiency. She is a certified PMP, Scrum Master and Six Sigma Green Belt.
Andy founded several companies, including Exhault which was sold to VeriSign, Trustwave which was sold to Singtel, and Truss which was sold to Avison Young. He held various executive positions at each of these companies.
Jim is a partner in McDonald Hopkins' Intellectual Property Department and a strategic intellectual property advisor who helps clients develop and protect the value of their global intellectual property portfolios. His practice encompasses all components of intellectual property – domestic and foreign patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
Jordan is a partner and the head of the tech startup and venture capital group at McDonald Hopkins. His practice focuses on the representation of technology companies in all aspects of the corporate life cycle in an outside general counsel role, including venture capital financings, formations, private debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities law compliance and commercial technology transactions.
