Nuts and Bolts of Construction Law for Developers
Join construction attorney John Gambill and local developer Tim Wolfe of Eflow Development Group in Portsmouth, Ohio on February 19 for a 90-minute presentation and roundtable discussion on construction issues local developers are facing. Recent years have shown a resurgence in development within the City of Portsmouth, and with all dynamic change comes risk. This presentation and roundtable discussion will focus on legal and practical issues that should be considered by developers at all stages of commercial construction projects. The discussion will be followed by a networking happy hour.
John is a Portsmouth native and an attorney with McDonald Hopkins’ Columbus office and focuses his practice on construction issues and construction litigation. He has represented contractors and project owners in claims arising out of construction projects of all sizes across the Midwest. John has also litigated several cases from inception to conclusion, including arguing a complex construction issue before the Ohio Supreme Court. Although John’s practice is primarily focused on construction litigation matters, John’s practice also involves counseling contractors and project owners at the outset and during the course of commercial construction projects to help make sure his clients consider and allocate risk on their projects.
