Ohio Court Reporters Association 2024 Annual Conference

McDonald Hopkins' Michael Riley will be presenting on "Future Outlook: Estate and Succession Planning" at the Ohio Court Reporters Association 2024 Annual Conference in Cleveland. 

The goal of the presentation will be to review some basics and help the attendees get started with their estate planning or think about how they can refine or update their estate planning. The message will be that estate planning is not a "one and done" process. It is a natural and important part of ongoing financial planning that individuals, families, and businesses do to meet their goals, whether it’s planning for education, retirement, business succession, their estates, or the unexpected. Topics will include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate, and will substitutes. Selection of fiduciaries will be discussed, and planning for specific assets such as life insurance, retirement plans and IRAs, digital assets, business interests, and real estate will be addressed.
