Governor Kasich has called out the drilling industry for their lack of commitment to hiring Ohio workers. This story from the NPR affiliate at Kent State University is sobering as it cites a 60% rejection rate of Ohio job applicants for drilling related jobs . . . due to failed drug tests. The Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program estimates that 30% of the new jobs located in Ohio will go to workers who live outside the state – largely due to the issue of drug use.
