The House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee has reported HB 490 with members of both parties voting to send it to the House Rules Committee. As reported in Friday’s edition of the Ohio Statehouse Update, the bill covers a broad swath of public policy issues. Among the topics covered by the substitute bill are telecommunications, the Great Lakes Compact, home septic systems, algae blooms, public water treatment systems, and dredging in Lake Erie.
The bill now moves to the House Rules Committee where it is expected to be voted quickly to the House Floor. The measure could be taken up by the entire House as early as tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates from McDonald Hopkins as this legislation advances.
