Richik Sarkar of McDonald Hopkins
named to Leadership Cleveland Class of 2015
Cleveland, Ohio (July 29, 2014) – Richik Sarkar, a commercial litigator and member at McDonald Hopkins LLC, has been selected by the Cleveland Leadership Center to participate in Leadership Cleveland 2015. Leadership Cleveland engages recognized and established leaders of the region in leadership development, civic education, and civic engagement.
The program offers class members the opportunity to delve into the culture of Northeast Ohio to better understand the opportunities and challenges facing the region. Armed with this knowledge, Leadership Cleveland classmates actively drive positive and sustainable change in all sectors of the Greater Cleveland area. The program year will begin in September 2014 and conclude in June 2015.
Sarkar is highly involved in the community and serves on the board of a number of organizations, including the Asian American Bar Association of Ohio and the Rainey Institute. He is Vice President and member of the Board of Trustees for the Cuyahoga County Community Improvement Corporation, and is a member of the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Commission on Economic Inclusion, United Way Services and the WKSU Community Advisory Council. Sarkar earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
