McDonald Hopkins attorney Amy B. Spagnole-DeRosa earns
board certification by The Florida Bar as an IP Specialist
Miami, Florida (August 12, 2014) – Amy B. Spagnole-DeRosa, a member in the Miami office of McDonald Hopkins, is now board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in intellectual property.
In Florida, only lawyers who are board certified by The Florida Bar or another Florida Bar-approved certifying organization may use the terms "specialist," "expert," or the letters "B.C.S." (Board Certified Specialist) when referring to their legal credentials. Only six percent of the attorneys eligible to practice law in Florida have earned board certification. Certification is The Florida Bar's highest evaluation of attorneys' competency, experience and professionalism in the areas of law approved for specialization. Board certified lawyers are evaluated for professionalism, tested for expertise.
Spagnole-DeRosa focuses her practice on a wide variety of intellectual property law matters, with a particular emphasis on strategic portfolio development, protection and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights, licensing and e-commerce transactions. She has worked with clients from a broad range of industries including computer hardware and software, social media, electronic commerce and the Internet, telecommunications, publishing, advertising, multimedia, hospitality, food and beverage, consumer products, banking and financial services, health care, sports and entertainment, artists and arts organizations.
