CHICAGO (February 2, 2017) – Stacey C. Kalamaras has joined the Chicago office of McDonald Hopkins LLC, and will serve as counsel in the law firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Kalamaras comes to McDonald Hopkins from Mayer Brown LLP.

Kalamaras has more than a decade of experience with trademark, copyright and advertising law. She specializes in trademark clearance, enforcement, licensing, and domain name enforcement proceedings for businesses of all sizes, both domestically and internationally with expertise in managing global trademark portfolios for multi-national corporations. Kalamaras has experience assisting clients with a range of copyright issues, including registration of copyrights and work-for-hire issues. Additionally, Kalamaras counsels clients regarding the adoption of advertising slogans and claim substantiation, false advertising claims, rights of publicity claims, sweepstakes and promotions, as well as escheat laws for gift cards. Kalamaras also has more than 12 years of business management experience, having worked in marketing communications, brand management, and advertising for several multi-national corporations prior to becoming an attorney.

At McDonald Hopkins, Kalamaras will be working with a national intellectual property team that focuses on creating, securing and maintaining clients’ competitive advantages in the marketplace. “We are delighted that Stacey has chosen to practice law at McDonald Hopkins,” said Richard N.
