Adam Grais is all-in as festival board chair
Adam Grais, a member at McDonald Hopkins and recently-appointed board chair of Chicago's Grant Park Orchestral Association, was featured in the Grant Park Music Festival's spotlight series. The festival hosts a world class orchestra that has been performing for more than 80 years.

Adam Grais has been drumming most of his life. But these days, as the newly appointed board chair of the the Grant Park Music Festival, he is drumming up support — that is, support for a major cultural attraction. This month, Grais began his tenure as board chair of the Grant Park Music Festival.
We caught up with him at his office in early December and found him with a pair of sticks in hand.
“I’ve played rock, punk, blues and jazz over the years,” he said, “but I started by playing snare drum and tympani in grade school.” A prominent tax attorney at McDonald Hopkins, Grais likes to say it was music that got him into a courtroom.
