DBR Top Women in Law recognizes Raquel Rodriguez

MIAMI (August 7, 2017) – Raquel (Rocky) A. Rodriguez received a Top Women in Law recognition from the Daily Business Review (DBR).
The recognition, which considered more than 70 candidates, is part of an August 7 special report, in which legal professionals, from judges to law firm managers, who stand out for their remarkable career achievements will be profiled.
Rodriguez, who served as general counsel to former Florida governor Jeb Bush, is the founding managing member of McDonald Hopkins LLC’s, Miami office, and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. She has been an advocate for over 30 years, on a wide variety of government, business, and litigation matters, providing unique insights and solutions to the legal, business, political and public relations challenges that private and public companies face. She has demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the business community in South Florida where she brings her experience representing Fortune 100 clients, closely held companies, foreign governments, family businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs.
Rodriguez serves as the chair for the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Third District of Appeal of Florida, to which she was appointed by Governor Rick Scott. In addition, she is a member of the board of directors for BioFlorida, where she serves as the co-chair of the Government Affairs Committee, is on the board of trustees for the Foundation for Florida’s Future and is a member of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
