McDonald Hopkins welcomes Daniel Borek to Business Department and Executive Compensation and Governance team
CHICAGO — Daniel Borek has joined the Chicago office of McDonald Hopkins LLC as Counsel in the Business Department, where he will add his experience in both corporate and real estate transactions to the firm’s Executive Compensation and Governance team.
As part of the Executive Compensation and Governance team, Daniel focuses on matters related to executive compensation, governance, and other corporate issues that arise in public and private mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Daniel assists compensation committees, companies, and senior executives in the negotiation and structuring of executive employment and severance agreements, as well as equity and deferred compensation arrangements. He advises senior executives and management teams, businesses, investors and developers in private equity deals, M&A and real estate transactions.
Daniel brings a broad range of transactional experience advising on matters including business formation, capitalization, commercial contracts, and commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Daniel was a member of the corporate and real estate departments of an international law firm.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in criminology and law at the University of Florida.
