McDonald Hopkins Day at Progressive Field 2019
June 26, 2019 was McDonald Hopkins Day at Progressive Field as the firm and the Cleveland Indians celebrated their relationship in the Cleveland Indians Community Partners program.
To commemorate McDonald Hopkins and the Indians relationship with College Now of Greater Cleveland, the firm invited Cleveland John Hay High School graduate and College Now scholarship recipient Nicole Dulaney to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
McDonald Hopkins partnered with WKYC TV 3 in Cleveland earlier this year to promote the College Now Mentoring program, and the Wednesday morning edition of WKYC's Live on Lakeside program opened with a segment congratulating Dulaney on earning the chance to throw the game's first pitch. Based on Nicole's plans to walk on as a softball player at Howard University when she begins college in the fall, Live on Lakeside's Alexa Lee and Michael Estime wondered if she would throw overhand or try to "whip one in underhand" when she took the mound at Progressive Field." On Tuesday, June 25, Cleveland Indians President of Business Operations Brian Barren joined McDonald Hopkins Cleveland Managing Member David Kall for the second edition of the firm's Leaders in Education series. The Indians, through the Cleveland Indians Charities, provide the opportunity to jointly create and execute youth educational and recreational opportunities. Learn more by watching the video below.
Kall was joined on the field by McDonald Hopkins summer interns Rashaud Maddox and Justin Conner during a pregame recognition of the firm's involvement with the Cleveland Indians Community Partners program.
