McDonald Hopkins to host discussion on how antitrust laws affect all businesses
CLEVELAND– McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm, will be hosting a Business Hour regarding how antitrust laws do not only apply to large corporations, but to businesses of all sizes.
The event, Everyday Antitrust Issues: Protecting Your Business From Criminal and Civil Liability, will feature Richard Blake as moderator with Jennifer Armstrong, Christopher Dean and Paul Flannery, a former assistant United States attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, white collar crime unit, as panelists.
During the panel discussions, Blake, Armstrong, Dean and Flannery will provide important information and answers on a wide array of antitrust topics such as:
- Antitrust basics, and some of the most common and easily avoidable ways that even the smallest companies can run afoul of the competition laws
- Antitrust implications of participation in trade associations, and tips for conducting association business in compliance with the law
- New Department of Justice/Federal Trade Commission antitrust guidance for human resource professionals, including potential criminal risks for the unwary in hiring and compensation decisions
