McDonald Hopkins welcomes Kathleen Stearns to Litigation Department

DETROIT — Kathleen Stearns has joined McDonald Hopkins LLC in Detroit as an associate in the Litigation Department, adding her experience to the firm’s Commercial Litigation team. 

Stearns is an Associate in the Litigation Department at McDonald Hopkins and part of the firm’s commercial litigation team. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation and general litigation matters. Stearns has litigated a wide variety of business matters such as shareholder oppression, breach of contract, conversion, and business torts. Stearns works with a diverse range of commercial clients from sole proprietors to large corporations. She works with both employers and employees on employment retaliation claims, ELCRA matters, and wrongful termination litigation. Stearns also has experience in receiverships and insolvency matters

Stearns earned her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics at the University of Michigan.
