Transforming Florida: Miami Managing Member Raquel Rodriguez featured in Attorney at Law Magazine
News
McDonald Hopkins Miami Managing Member Raquel “Rocky” Rodriguez has been recognized as a 2019 Superstar by Attorney at Law Magazine with a feature in its most recent Miami Edition entitled “Transforming Florida.”
The Q&A covers Rodriguez’ career, from her earliest thoughts of becoming an attorney, to her work as general counsel to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, her founding of McDonald Hopkins’ Miami office in 2011 and more.
It concludes with the one piece of advice Rodriguez would give to a student or young attorney interested in following in her footsteps:
“Never take no ‘no’ for an answer,” she says. “This means not just refusing to accept ‘no’ from others but also not telling yourself ‘no’ in terms of what you can accomplish. If my career has taught me anything it’s that everything and anything is possible if you work hard and persevere. The law prepares you to do virtually everything, because it teaches you how to think and stand up for what you believe. It also means there’s no ‘one way’ to practice law.”
