Michael Witzke named Chair of Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group at McDonald Hopkins

CLEVELAND (January 24, 2017) – McDonald Hopkins is proud to announce that Michael P. Witzke has been named the Chair of the firm's Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group.
As Chair, Witzke will be leading a team of experienced attorneys with expertise in developing tax-efficient and cost-effective strategies for wealth transfer. The overall goal of the group is helping individuals and families meet their planning objectives and ensuring their final goals are carried out.
Based in Detroit, Witzke is licensed in Michigan, Illinois, and Florida. He practices in the areas of estate and gift tax planning, special needs planning, retirement planning, charitable giving, elder law, and business succession planning. A Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant, Michael holds the Retirement Planning Specialist designation from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. He is also a member of the Probate and Estate Planning Sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
Michael earned his J.D. from Wayne State University. He received a B.A. from Michigan State University, James Madison College.
