Shilpa Gokhale joins McDonald Hopkins LLC Chicago office as Counsel in the Executive Compensation and Governance Practice Group

CHICAGO – Shilpa Gokhale has joined the Chicago office of McDonald Hopkins LLC as Counsel in the Executive Compensation and Governance Practice Group.

Gokhale has represented a range of public and private equity clients in developing and executing strategic agreements and arrangements. Her practice includes drafting transactional documents and advising clients on creating and negotiating employment, consulting, severance, cash bonus, equity incentive, retention, and change in control contracts, plans, and agreements, and other executive compensation arrangements.

Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Gokhale was the Director of Program Development for the Master of Science in Law Program at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Before joining Northwestern, she was an Associate Attorney in the Executive Compensation Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Gokhale earned her J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in 2009. She received her M.A. in Teaching from Johns Hopkins School of Professional Studies in Business and Education in 2004 and her B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 2002.
