Tax and Benefits attorney Michelle Rood joins the Cleveland office of McDonald Hopkins
CLEVELAND (November 8, 2016) – Michelle Rood has joined the Tax and Benefits department as an associate at McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm.
Rood gained experience as a core tax intern at BDO, corporate law clerk and Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, and legal extern/intern for Justice William M. O’Neill at the Ohio Supreme Court. She also served as a press intern for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and as a district office intern for the late Congressman Steven LaTourette.
Prior to law school, Rood worked as a legislative assistant for the American Jewish Committee and as a staff/research assistant for The Brookings Institution’s Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform.
Rood earned a J.D., from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2016, an M.B.A. from Monte Ahuja College of Business and a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science and Judaic Studies from the University of Miami in 2008.
