Workers' compensation attorney Margaret O'Bryon joins McDonald Hopkins in Cleveland office
Margaret O’Bryon is bringing 15 years of experience developing an expertise in workers’ compensation to McDonald Hopkins LLC, joining the firm as counsel in the Cleveland office.
“Margaret also brings 25 years of public law and private sector experience to our firm,” said James Giszczak, chair of McDonald Hopkins’ Litigation Department and a member on the firm’s board of directors and executive committee. “Margaret will serve as counsel in the Litigation Department. She represents self-insured and state-funded clients in the health care, manufacturing, construction and educational industries in matters from the administrative level at the Ohio Industrial Commission through the courts up to the Supreme Court of Ohio.”
O’Bryon is an Ohio Bar Association certified specialist in the practice of worker’s compensation law. She is currently the law director for the village of Kipton and an assistant law director for the city of Elyria. O’Bryon is also a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Lorain County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, Leadership Lorain County, 100+ Women of Lorain County, and a former member of the Giving Circle for the Community Foundation of Lorain County.
After receiving a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Bowling Green State University, O’Bryon earned her law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she obtained the highest individual score on the Jessup Moot Court team. She was an adjunct criminal law professor for four years at Lorain County Community College.
