James Giszczak featured in West Palm Beach report on Florida Dept. of Health cyberattack

James Giszczak, Co-President of McDonald Hopkins and Co-Chair of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, was recently featured on a West Palm Beach news report regarding the Florida Department of Health's latest cyber incident.

The Florida Department of Health was hit by a cyberattack last week, causing outages in their databases and disrupting critical services like issuing birth and death certificates. Jim was interviewed by CBS 12's Alexis Cruz for her story "Florida hack delays death certificates, leaving grieving families in limbo."

In it, Jim touched on the importance of proactive measures for companies and public entities, including employee training, security plans, and cyber liability insurance, to mitigate the impact of such attacks.
