McDonald Hopkins welcomes Jeffrey Haut to Litigation Department
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — McDonald Hopkins LLC continues to expand its services and reach in southern Florida with the addition of Jeffrey Haut, an associate in the Litigation Department. Haut will be a part of the firm's Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, Appellate, and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. Haut has a trial and appellate practice focused on counseling corporate clients, non-profits, governmental entities, and individuals through a broad range of state and federal litigation matters.

Haut practices principally in the areas of business and commercial litigation, including cases involving contractual disputes, breaches of promissory notes and personal guarantees, shareholder and partnership disputes, and complex “bet the company” litigation matters. Additionally, Haut has represented clients in litigation arising from insurance coverage disputes, construction disputes, real property and zoning disputes, condominium disputes, and employment disputes.
Haut also has experience in defending municipalities in 42 U.S.C. § 1983 civil rights claims, bringing and defending eminent domain and inverse condemnation actions under the United States and Florida Constitutions, securities litigation and FINRA arbitration, mass torts and products liability, class action defense, and defending various forms of negligence and personal injury claims.
In the data privacy and cybersecurity arena, Haut represents clients in class action and other litigation matters arising from data breaches, cybersecurity incidents, wire transfer fraud, business email compromise schemes, and violations of state and federal data privacy statutes.
