McDonald Hopkins celebrates commitment to mentorship with seventh-year of College Now partnership
McDonald Hopkins is proud to mark its seventh year partnering with College Now, a program dedicated to helping Cleveland Metropolitan School District students succeed in college. One of its key initiatives, the Say Yes Cleveland scholarship, helps eligible students cover tuition gaps at Ohio universities—but there’s a catch: recipients must have a mentor throughout their college experience. That’s where McDonald Hopkins steps in. Over the years, we’ve encouraged employees to volunteer as mentors, and the program continues to grow, with more signing up each year.
Every March, our partnership takes center stage as the firm teams up with WKYC (Cleveland’s NBC affiliate) to promote College Now’s mentorship program.
You may have seen some familiar faces on TV this past month (March 2025). A commercial—shot and produced right here in our Cleveland office—has been airing, featuring our mentors and encouraging others to get involved; attorneys Kate Wensink and Sydney Bell recently appeared on Lakeside Today to share their rewarding experiences as mentors and to inspire more volunteers; and Dave Kall and Brad Rinella discussed the impact of College Now and why McDonald Hopkins is so committed to supporting education on Lakeside Today.
