McDonald Hopkins welcomes Christina Gherlein to Intellectual Property Department
McDonald Hopkins is proud to announce the addition of Christina Gherlein as Counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Christina’s practice touches all aspects of intellectual property law, with a primary focus on the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications.
Christina said McDonald Hopkins was her destination firm of choice because of the camaraderie between colleagues and the quality of service delivered to clients.
“I was drawn to McDonald Hopkins’ dedication to ensuring an extremely supportive culture among its employees. Each person I interacted with in the interview process assured me they felt valued and supported, personally and professionally. Not every firm makes that a priority, but McDonald Hopkins is a good example of the more supported an individual feels, the better the work output they can provide,” she said.
Christina is a motivated and engaging counselor who is dedicated to getting the best possible outcome for her clients, no matter how big or small the matter may be. In addition to the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications, she also assists in general trademark counseling, portfolio management, and trademark-related contract matters, including licensing agreements and co-existence agreements. She has extensive experience advising clients on clearance searches, application strategies and responses to office actions from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She has managed trademark portfolios for clients across a variety of industries. She also has experience in software patent preparation and prosecution.
“Christina’s passion for intellectual property law, coupled with her ability to navigate its multidisciplinary nature, makes her a fantastic addition to our growing team,” said David Cupar, Chair of McDonald Hopkins’ Intellectual Property Department. “Her creativity and strategic approach to trademark law will be invaluable to our clients.”
Christina said she’s thrilled to join the firm’s innovative Intellectual Property Department, which includes more than 20 attorneys.
“I’m really looking forward to being part of the IP team during such an exciting period of growth. I feel fortunate to be joining at a time when the team is expanding, taking on dynamic work, and making a significant impact. My colleagues in the IP group are all incredibly talented,” Christina noted.
