Michelle Kantor named to Board of Women Impacting Public Policy
CHICAGO - McDonald Hopkins is proud to congratulate Michelle Kantor on her appointment to the Board of Directors of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP).
WIPP is a nonpartisan organization which educates and advocates on behalf of women-owned businesses. Since its inception in June of 2001, WIPP has been at the forefront of Capitol Hill activities, and proudly represents the voice of the over 12.9 million women-owned business across the country. WIPP has influenced policy on Government contracting, access to capital and workplace development, just to name a few.
Michelle was one of three new members named to the Board.
“These three leaders will provide leadership and guidance as we continue to advance our policy priorities, ensuring women business owners not only have a seat, but a powerful voice at the table.” said Angela Dingle, WIPP President and CEO, in a press release. “Their collective expertise will undoubtedly further the WIPP mission and contribute to strengthening the impact of women business owners on the nation’s public policy.”
Michelle leads McDonald Hopkins' Government Contracting and Procurement practice group nationwide. She has more than 32 years of experience practicing in federal and local government contracting, procurement law and business law and disputes. Michelle was named by Crain’s Business Chicago as Top Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago in August 2017 and Notable Women Lawyers in August 2018. Michelle is a member of the Board of Directors of Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC). She is also General Counsel to the Federation of Women Contractors. She is a frequent speaker at seminars, conventions, webinars & conferences nationwide.
