Overview

Jaime is Counsel in McDonald Hopkins' Business Department and is part of the firm's real estate team. Her practice focuses on real estate transactions and litigation, emphasizing complex residential and commercial development transactions, including hotels, condominiums, offices, multi-family, industrial, residential, and retail. Jaime represents a wide range of clients, with expertise working with condominium and hotel developers on all aspects of construction and operations, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, drafting and filing of documents and budgets, leasing investor relations, project finance and structuring, marketing and sales, contracts, construction/design oversight. She also has experience handling real estate litigation matters of all types, including foreclosures, landlord/tenant, contract and construction disputes.

In addition to her real estate practice, Jaime provides corporate counsel for clients, advising on business strategy and handling entity structuring and formation, expansions, mergers, acquisition, compliance, and disposition. She has experience structuring and negotiating agreements relating to corporate loans, venture capital, private equity, joint ventures, intellectual property/trademarks, marketing, stockholder/partner/LLC disputes and general contract matters.

Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Jaime managed her own real estate transaction and litigation firm for 15 years. She earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from Florida State University.
