Overview
Greg Parker is an associate in McDonald Hopkins’ Litigation Department and a part of the firm’s national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. His practice focuses on advising clients across industries on data breach response, privacy compliance, and cybersecurity risk management.
Greg has experience counseling clients in finance, healthcare, education, and technology on regulatory obligations under state, federal, and international laws, including the CCPA, BIPA, HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, ITAR/DFARS, and the UK/EU GDPR. He regularly works with clients to prepare legal notifications, coordinate forensic investigations, and assess risk during cyber incidents.
He is accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the United States..
Before joining McDonald Hopkins, Greg managed complex data privacy and cybersecurity matters at both a national litigation firm and an international corporate law firm. His experience includes advising on data privacy and cybersecurity issues in mergers and acquisitions, including diligence and risk analysis. He has also managed deal flow for private equity, growth equity, and leveraged finance deals in the high-technology sector, and drafted privacy policies, data transfer agreements, business associate agreements, and related contracts.
Greg brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to his work, helping clients stay compliant while protecting their most sensitive digital assets.
He earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from American University.
