Overview
Luke is an Associate in the Litigation Department and a part of the firm’s national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. He focuses his practice on regulatory defense and privacy litigation, including class action lawsuits. He brings a strong blend of legal expertise and technical knowledge to his work, allowing him to approach complex data privacy and cybersecurity issues from both legal and technical perspectives.
Before joining McDonald Hopkins, Luke gained diverse experience working across multiple industries, including technology, insurance, and food service distribution. During his time at a large insurance company, he played a role in evaluating institutional privacy policies, identifying best practices for data management, and drafting multi-state recommendations to guide the integration of company assets on third-party digital platforms.
Luke earned his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University. During law school, he served as president of the Student Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, was a Teaching Assistant, Development Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review, and a member of the Cleveland State Moot Court Team.
Luke has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from DePauw University and a Bachelor of Science in Software Development from Western Governors University.
